The Summer Foundation was established in 2006 to address the chronic social exclusion experienced by young people in nursing homes, with 53% receiving a visit from a friend less than once per year and 82% hardly ever visiting their friends. The foundation's extensive research clearly shows that young people with disability and their families want real choice about where and with whom they live.
Launched by the Summer Foundation in 2009, the Building Better Lives campaign is raising awareness and funds to develop Australia's first integrated housing model, where young people with disability can truly be part of the community.
Why Workplace Giving?
ACF Workplace Giving is a proactive way employers and their employees can support Australian charities. Workplace Giving programs are effective fundraising tools because they channel 100% of donated funds to the non profits they support.
Workplace Giving is easy to implement and low cost to maintain. Contact The Australian Charities Fund for more information on getting involved in Workplace Giving.
