Currently more than 6,500 young Australians with full-time care needs are living in aged care simply because there are few alternatives (The Senate Community Affairs Reference Committee 2005). There are also 700,000 more young Australians being cared for at home by family and friends (AIHW 2007).
All young people deserve young lives. This issue affects Australians nation-wide, and Youngcare aims to create awareness to drive change and create real choices in care and accommodation options for young Australians with full-time care needs.
Why Workplace Giving?
ACF Workplace Giving is a proactive way employers and their employees can support Australian charities. Workplace Giving programs are effective fundraising tools because they channel 100% of donated funds to the non profits they support.
Workplace Giving is easy to implement and low cost to maintain. Contact The Australian Charities Fund for more information on getting involved in Workplace Giving.
