Workplace Giving is big news in the non profit sector.
The Financial Review's BOSS Magazine has identified Workplace Giving to be one of the top hot trends for 2010. According to trendwatching.com, generosity as a trend will
adapt to the zeitgeist, leading to more pragmatic and collaborative
donation services for consumers.
From January 2010 payroll giving will be an option for employees in New Zealand. New Zealand Parliament has recently passed changes to New Zealand’s tax laws which will introduce a payroll giving scheme, enabling employees to make donations to charities directly from their pay while immediately receiving a tax credit.
