On Tuesday, May 26th we held our second annual conference. The theme of the conference was Driving Employee Engagement and delegates from employers running Workplace Giving programs had the opportunity to spend the day with fellow community investment leaders and discuss current trends and new thinking on connecting with the community.
There were thought-provoking presentations from a variety of speakers on tackling the challenges of employee community engagement in these tough economic times.
Presentations included The changing face of CSR (Sally Loane, Coca Cola Amatil), How to build a high performance culture, engaging employees on your community journey (Bob Barbour, Lion Nathan), Global crisis : Golden opportunity (Tim Costello, World Vision Australia) and The psychology of giving (Narelle Hooper, BOSS Magazine).

The Australian Charities Fund and United Way have made a joint submission in response to the Commonwealth Treasury's discussion paper, 'Charitable fundraising regulation reform'.
