Deputy Prime Minister and Federal Treasurer Wayne Swan has commissioned a report exploring how the Australian business sector can better support charities.
Meanwhile in the UK, Third Sector Fundraising reports Civil Society Minister Nick Hurd has invited charities and business to advise the government how it can improve payroll giving.Speaking at the National Payroll Giving Excellence Awards in London last week, Hurd told the audience the sector is “just scratching the surface".
At the same event, Institute of Fundraising Chair Paul Amadi said the fundraising potential of workplace giving was under-appreciated.
