The Australian Charities Fund and United Way have made a joint submission in response to the Commonwealth Treasury's discussion paper, 'Charitable fundraising regulation reform'.

Employer partners who took part in Workplace Giving Month last year achieved an overall average participation rate increase of 29% - with two partners achieving increases of over 40%.

Together, the initiatives of these employer partners resulted in over 1,000 new workplace giving donors. Typically, these organisations also saw existing donors take the chance to review their contribution with many increasing their regular donation.

ACF employer and charity partner Resource Kits to make planning and implementing Workplace Giving Month are now available for download in Resource Section in the Library.

The Australian Red Cross has beaten a formidable field to win the 2012 Fundraising Institute of Australia Fundraising Marketing Campaign award for its 'PaidAid Workplace Giving Program' campaign.

Employer Leadership Initiative member King & Wood Mallesons was awarded the Corporate Commitment to Workplace Giving Award 2011 by the Governor General, Her Excellency Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO at the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) Patron's Awards ceremony held at Admiralty House in Kirribilli early March.

Existing challenges and the need for greater cross-sector collaboration to explore opportunities for workplace giving to reach its potential were hot topics at the inaugural ACF Charity Task Force meeting held late February.
