The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia is the professional body representing chartered accountants. The Institute reach extends to more than 66,000 of today and tomorrows business leaders, representing over 54,000 Chartered Accountants and 12,000 of Australia's best accounting graduates who are currently enrolled in its world-class post-graduate program.
The Institute launched its workplace giving program, Everybody Counts, in June 2006. The program supports seven charities in the areas of cancer research and support; children and families at risk; animal welfare; and mental health and wellbeing.
Everybody Counts' key features
In 2009 the Institute had the vision to rollout Everybody Counts to small-medium member practices, which is being launched in 2010. This ground-breaking initiative will see the Institute as the first professional member-based organisation in Australia to rollout a community partnership program to its membership, creating the potential for the profession to have a significant social impact in its chosen cause areas.
