Workplace Giving Employer Leadership Initiative - Bain & Company

www.bain.com

Bain & Company is a global business consulting firm with offices in all major cities. It helps management make the big decisions: on strategy, operations, mergers & acquisitions, technology and organisation.

Bain & Company launched its workplace giving program in Australia in January 1999 to more than 180 employees. The program supports charities in the areas of medical research, cancer, conservation and the environment, children and families at risk, environment, international aid, homelessness and welfare.

Bain's workplace giving program key features

Bain has a rich tradition of service to the community through using its cutting-edge processes, skills and capabilities to deliver greater social impact and improve the non-profit sector.  As part of this tradition Bain was instrumental in establishing workplace giving in Australia by assisting in obtaining changes to the tax rulings to ensure workplace giving is the most cost effective and efficient way to give. Bain also initiated the foundation of The Australian Charities Fund as a way of generating greater and more effective giving through the workplace.

Bain's workplace giving program culminates each year in a firm-wide community impact day which celebrates the work of Bain in the community and brings to life the year's giving activities through pro-bono, strategic volunteering and workplace giving.

“We are proud of our association and support for ACF and the impact that workplace giving has had in the community space."
