Carbon Community Foundation facilitates the supply of ultra-efficient solar lights to poor households in developing countries. Villagers buy the lights at the lowest possible cost. Our strategic initiatives include:
- global sourcing directly from manufacturers of the highest quality/lowest cost solar lights
- shipping, importation and logistical arrangements
- establishing and supporting in country distribution mechanisms and partners
- funding and support of in country micro-finance organisations, micro solar entrepreneurs and distributors
- establishment of a Clean Energy Fund with funding provided by donors, supporters, business partners, capital providers and commercial activities
- developing methodologies and opportunities to monetise the carbon revenue from our kerosene replacement programmes.
Why Workplace Giving?
ACF Workplace Giving is a proactive way employers and their employees can support Australian charities. Workplace Giving programs are effective fundraising tools because they channel 100% of donated funds to the non profits they support.
Workplace Giving is easy to implement and low cost to maintain. Contact The Australian Charities Fund for more information on getting involved in Workplace Giving.
