Leukaemia Foundation
More Australians die from blood cancer each year than from breast cancer and melanoma combined. Every hour of every day someone in Australia is diagnosed with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma or a related blood disorder. Every two hours an Australian loses their life to one of these diseases.
Blood cancers are not specific to a particular demographic; they can develop in anyone, of any age, at any time. It is estimated that in 2001 more than 11,500 Australians recieved the devastating diagnosis.
The Leukaemia Foundation is dedicated to the care and cure of these people - we are here to offer support and hope for the future.
