The Animal Welfare League of Queensland takes care of approximatley 15,000 strayed and abandoned animals annually from South East Queensland. The AWLQ receives no Government funding for welfare work, relying predominantly on the community for support.

Employer partners who took part in Workplace Giving Month last year achieved an overall average participation rate increase of 29% - with two partners achieving increases of over 40%.
Together, the initiatives of these employer partners resulted in over 1,000 new workplace giving donors. Typically, these organisations also saw existing donors take the chance to review their contribution with many increasing their regular donation.
